Lex Bolewski
I served four years in the Marine Corps and deployed with the 31st MEU and spent a summer shooting competitively on the USMC Pistol Team in Quantico, VA. After my EAS, I moved to Nashville Tennessee to be with my now wife, Molly, and started my welding business out of my 2008 Chevy Colorado. Business boomed and after 4 years, I sold my business after completing nearly $1mil/annual revenue and completing projects like Jason Aldean‘s new house in Thompson’s Station, TN. With over 60k lbs of structural steel and multiple entry gates, handrails, and other architectural metal features, I began sharing details of my in-house shop drawings to my other friends with metal shops on Instagram, and a few of them requested I take on some projects for their shops. In 2020, I began steel detailing full time and invested in software, classes, computers, and a 3d point cloud scanner. Since then, business has boomed, and I am the sole detailing service for multiple shops.

We offer quick bid services for most projects ranging from $50-$250. It includes a simple 3d model of the project and a complete beam/column take off for all major structural members, and a review of the plans for a quick email write up explaining the scope of work, unique aspects of the job, potential equipment necessities and other relevant information, all from a fab-shop owners perspective.
The quick bid package also includes an all-inclusive bid for the project, which can be itemized if requested. The goal is to help your bid output and allows us to bid work very effectively, much better than just throwing a number out after glancing at the structural plans alone.
